Legon Cities Part Ways With Head Coach Goran Barjaktarevic

Accra based club, Legon Cities has officially dismissed head coach Goran Barjaktarevic after a poor performance in the Ghana Premier League.

Goran's contract termination came after the club suffered a 3-0 humiliating defeat to regional rivals Great Olympics in matchday two of the Ghana Premier League.

The 51-year-old Bosnian tactician took over the club last season and played 17 games in which he managed only 3 wins. Legon Cities began the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season with a 1 all draw against Berekum Chelsea at home on matchday 1.

The Royals signed 14 new players ahead of the commencement of this season including the capture of Baby Jet Asamoah Gyan.

A new head coach is set to be announced in the coming days via a statement released by the club. Legon Cities has been linked with moves for Eleven Wonders head coach Ignatius Osei - Fosu, former Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant and former deputy coach of the Black Stars Ibrahim Tankoe.
