A 100 Year Old Woman Mishandled

Barima Yaw, a gentleman who hails from Asante Bekwai in Ashanti Region, narrated his story on "Nya Asem Hwe", a program hosted by Mmrantiehene Afari Yeboah on Fox FM. He disclosed how a family friend, Afia Nima, wants to take possession of a room in their family house.

He explained, Afia Nima with other family members of hers, were given two rooms to occupy in the house of Nana Nyarko, the grandmother of Barima Yaw, after a serious fight in Afia Nima's house which resulted in her left homeless. This incident took place several decades ago and they've stayed in the room all this while so they have been considered as family members due to their long stay and unity between the two families.

About 15 years ago, Afia Nima relocated to another house, leaving behind one unoccupied room. In an attempt to get the key from her, she claimed possession of the room and refused to hand over the key to the family members of Nana Nyarko. They wanted to sue her in court but did not have the money for It so they decided to wait.

Upon a visit by the town council, the family was warned about the possibility of one of the rooms collapsing. The occupant of the room, a 100-year-old lady and a daughter of Nana Nyarko, the owner of the house, was moved into one of the empty rooms. Afia Nima collaborated with her brothers to throw the old woman and her things outside.

He, therefore, seeks the help of Mmrantiehene Afari Yeboah and his team to help them clarify the real owners of the room and also make it clear to Afia Nima that she is not part of Nana Nyarko's bloodline.
